Account Manager Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll will serve as a trusted energy advisor to large and complex customers across the public sector, local government, agriculture, and water industries. You will be responsible for managing strategic customer relationships, identifying opportunities to advance customer goals, and promoting the adoption of clean energy solutions, electrification programs, distributed energy resources, demand response offerings, and other energy-related products and services.
This role requires strong consultative skills, business acumen, and the ability to influence decision makers at multiple levels within customer organizations. The

Incident Management Team Expected Participation:Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual's regular responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Develops forecasts for accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets.
- Leverages analytics to assist customers and partners with sales performance and operational excellence (Trade Pros or CED TE Team).
- Leverages research tools, market research and consumer insights to provide analysis and insights in support of the account planning process and client objectives.
- Supports the renewal and retention discussions and negotiations to ensure win-win outcomes within account management (AFA's for example).
- Drives the integration of client success account management into operations to drive client retention and increased activity.
- Monitors and tracks KPIs on account management performance, to continuously improve productivity and efficiency.
- Identifies and makes recommendations regarding competitive threats and trends.
- Performs contractual re-signs on existing customers to extend customer relationship through program and service agreements participation.
- Implements the marketing strategy in partnership with internal counterparts and ensures implementation of strategy across functions.
- Oversees the mass analysis of customer bill impacts resulting from rate changes (i.e., NKAs).
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications- Seven or more years of experience in account management.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex customer issues while managing projects, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and driving accountability for successful outcomes
- Knowledge of electrical theory, energy systems, energy efficiency, demand response, interconnection, and environmental technologies.
- Experience with energy industry issues, utility rates, rules, tariffs, and regulations.
- Knowledge of public sector operations, regulatory environments, and energy programs impacting government, water, and agricultural customers.
- Demonstrated ability to build and influence strategic relationships with executive-level customers and key stakeholders.
- Certification as Business Energy Professional (BEP) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
Additional Information- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
