Summary:
The Opportunity

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Account Executive, Wholesale to join our National Sales Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with wholesale customers, receptive operators, tour operators, travel distributors, hotel sales, regional leadership, revenue management, commercial strategy, and analytics partners to deepen customer relationships, develop new revenue opportunities, and drive preference for Hyatt hotels across the wholesale segment. The Role

The Account Lead, Wholesale is a strategic vertical sales role responsible for both business development and account management across the wholesale segment. This role manages a portfolio of wholesale accounts while identifying, qualifying, and developing new opportunities with tour operators, receptive operators, travel distributors, bed banks, consortia, and related partners that can drive profitable demand for Hyatt hotels. The Account Lead will establish and execute account plans focused on total account revenue growth, including group, transient, leisure, package, extended stay, and project-based business, for current hotels, new openings, focus hotels, and priority brands.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of wholesale accounts while developing new business opportunities within the vertical.
• Build and maintain deep account intelligence, including key buyers, influencers, distribution model, source markets, customer mix, seasonality, contracting needs, production history, competitive set, and next steps.
• Develop and execute account plans that support revenue growth across leisure, transient, group, package, extended stay, and project-based business.
• Prospect and qualify new wholesale, tour operator, receptive operator, travel distributor, bed bank, consortia, and related accounts with potential for Hyatt hotels.
• Educate wholesale buyers on Hyatt brands, hotel capabilities, destination fit, rate structures, service standards, and solutions relevant to their business needs.
• Partner with hotel sales teams, operators, revenue management, distribution, and commercial stakeholders to align customer opportunities with hotel priorities and profitability goals.
• Support customer negotiations, contracting conversations, hotel communication, and opportunity follow-up with urgency and strong attention to detail.
• Stay current on wholesale travel trends, source market dynamics, booking windows, demand patterns, market conditions, forecasts, and competitive intelligence.
• Use CRM, sourcing platforms, analytics, and industry tools to document activity, prioritize opportunities, and measure account performance.
• Champion Hyatt initiatives and priorities with wholesale customers as appropriate, including new hotel openings, focus hotels, Essentials brands, and special initiatives.
• Elevate the voice of the wholesale customer within Hyatt and participate in cross-functional projects that support National Sales priorities.
• Coordinate account transitions, hotel referrals, and opportunity handoffs to support strong execution across Hyatt teams.

Qualifications:
Experience Required:
• Minimum 5 years of hotel sales, hospitality sales, account management, wholesale sales, travel trade sales, or related commercial experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with wholesale, tour operator, receptive operator, travel distributor, consortia, bed bank, or related travel trade accounts.
• Strong understanding of wholesale market dynamics, including contracting, distribution models, source markets, booking patterns, rate integrity, customer expectations, and hotel profitability considerations.
• Strong sales knowledge and business development experience across transient, leisure, group, package, extended stay, and/or project-based business.
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio of accounts while also developing new business opportunities.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and follow-through skills.
• Detailed organization skills with the ability to manage multiple customers, priorities, opportunities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM and/or database management tools.
• Knowledge of customer sourcing, booking, contracting, or distribution tools and platforms used in hotel sales, wholesale travel, or travel trade environments.
• Experience with industry data tools such as Knowland Group, Amadeus Hotelligence Suite, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms.

Experience Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Sales, Business, Public Administration, Hospitality, or a related field.
• Existing relationships within wholesale, travel trade, tour operator, receptive operator, consortia, or travel distribution verticals.
• Multi-hotel and/or multi-brand sales experience.
• Previous total account, strategic account, or vertical account management experience.

The salary range for this position is $98,600 - $128,000 . This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, monthly or quarterly incentives, etc.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
