Full Job Description
veritree is seeking an Account Executive to accelerate our new customer acquisition. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial, outbound-driven seller who creates opportunities rather than waiting for them - someone who wants to turn sustainability commitments into closed business while helping define a new category at the intersection of technology and nature restoration. You'll own the full sales cycle, from cold outbound to close, while building the pipeline that drives veritree's next stage of growth. 6 Month Key Outcomes (6m KOs) First 3 months - Learn the product, ICP, use cases, and internal processes. Build 1-2x qualified pipeline. Co-sell with established AEs and show you can run effective discovery and control early-stage pipeline. By 6 months - Run full sales cycles independently. Maintain 3x+ pipeline coverage. Close new-logo deals in the target ACV range. What You'll Do: Build Pipeline • Generate the majority of your own pipeline through creative, self-directed outbound - not waiting on inbound or marketing-sourced leads • Research and break into target accounts from scratch, finding a wedge where there's no warm signal • Maintain 3-4x pipeline coverage against your quota Run the Full Cycle • Own every deal end to end, from first cold touch to close, in the $20K-$100K ACV range • Multi-thread across Marketing, Sustainability, ESG, and executive stakeholders • Lead strategic conversations that connect restoration and sustainability to real business outcomes • Refine your pitch continuously based on what the market tells you Collaborate & Expand • Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless handoffs and set accounts up for long-term expansion • Share what's working back to the team to sharpen our collective outbound motion Requirements Qualifications Professional Requirements or Qualifications • Proven track record of personally sourcing and closing deals from cold outbound - be ready to walk us through a specific account you broke into from scratch • Experience closing SaaS deals in the $20K-$100K ACV range (roughly 3+ years is a typical fit, but we care more about the motion than the number) • Demonstrated record of exceeding revenue targets • Experience navigating multi-stakeholder buying processes • Skilled with CRM and AI tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent) Personal Strengths • Entrepreneurial - you think like a founder, not a rep following a playbook • Resilient and self-directed, with the discipline to generate your own activity without being handed leads • Naturally curious, with the ability to challenge buyers constructively and earn trust quickly Nice to Haves (not mandatory) • Experience selling sustainability or nature-based solutions Benefits Benefits & Compensation Overview At veritree, we recognize that compensation and performance development are key to attracting and retaining top talent. As such, the salary range for this role is $120,000 to $185,000 CAD/year with a 50/50 base salary and variable sales bonus. This range is positioned around the 50th-75th percentile of market data we've collected, reflecting our commitment to competitive pay. Final offer amounts are based on individual experience and skillset of the candidate demonstrated during the recruitment process. We reserve the >75th percentile of our salary ranges for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at veritree.
