Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to drive enterprise growth and expand our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) practice across key industry verticals. This role is responsible for both net-new business development and expansion within strategic accounts, with strong emphasis on building meaningful client relationships and delivering measurable business outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a proven consultative seller with deep experience selling cloud, digital, or consulting services. You excel at navigating complex organizations, engaging executive stakeholders, and translating business challenges into technology-driven solutions.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a high-growth Google Cloud practice with strong executive sponsorship and significant market momentum. You will have the ability to own and expand enterprise client relationships while working in close collaboration with Google field sellers and alliance partners to drive meaningful business outcomes. The position also provides a unique chance to influence go-to-market strategy across key industry verticals, while operating at the forefront of AI-driven transformation and modern cloud adoption, making a direct impact on clients' digital innovation journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Drive net-new business development and build a strong, sustainable pipeline
  • Own and execute the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through close
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue and booking targets
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients
  • Develop a deep understanding of client business models, challenges, and technology landscapes
  • Identify opportunities to expand Perficient's footprint within existing accounts
  • Lead consultative selling efforts, including opportunity qualification, requirements gathering, solution positioning and proposal development, SOW creation, pricing, and contract negotiation
  • Translate client needs into value-driven solutions leveraging GCP and related services
  • Partner closely with internal solution leaders and delivery teams
  • Collaborate with Google Cloud field sellers and alliance teams to co-sell and drive joint pipeline
  • Maintain strong communication and alignment across stakeholders
  • Travel to client sites as needed (up to 30%)


Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of enterprise sales experience in consulting, technology, or cloud services
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets in complex, enterprise environments (Fortune 500 preferred)
  • Experience selling cloud, digital transformation, or professional services solutions
  • Strong preference for candidates with Google Cloud (GCP) ecosystem experience
  • Expertise in structured sales methodologies (e.g., Strategic Selling, Solution Selling, SPIN)
  • Demonstrated ability to: Break into net-new accounts (hunter mindset), expand existing relationships, navigate large, matrixed organizations
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Industry Experience in one or more of the following industries: Financial Services, Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS), Automotive & Manufacturing, Retail & Consumer Products or Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT)
  • Understanding of how AI and data-driven technologies drive business transformation
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity, pipeline management, and sales execution.
  • Awareness of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations
  • Candidates should reside near one of the following markets: Chicago, Minneapolis, New York, Boston, Atlanta, St. Louis, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, or Detroit
