Summary

The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for identifying, capturing, and growing new and existing customer accounts. This role focuses on sales, client engagement, and revenue growth, with the emphasis on expanding the company’s presence with the U.S Department of Defense (DoD). The AE will partner closely with company leadership, Operations, Program Managers, and functional support teams to sustain current accounts while pursuing new opportunities that align with corporate strategy and growth objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement growth strategies for new and existing customers
  • Identify and capture business opportunities across DoD and IC
  • Research target markets, industry trends, and competitor positioning to guide business capture
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive engagement and customer service
  • Partner with the Proposal teams and Capture, bid and proposal activities
  • Deliver executive-level presentations and prepare business development reports
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure seamless customer handoff and post-award support
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities sufficient to achieve growth targets
  • Meet or exceed designated revenue targets through organic and new business growth

 

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

 

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, account management, or sales in the U.S. Government or Government Contracting sector
  • Demonstrated success capturing and growing large, diverse U.S. Government accounts
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, International Relations, Marketing, or related field
  • Strong sales and business development acumen with proven revenue growth performance
  • Exceptional relationship-building, networking, and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify new markets and opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in business administration or related field
  • Experience in DoD/U.S. Space Force, and U.S. Air Force
  • Strong understanding of defense and federal acquisition processes
  • Experience working as both a prime contractor and subcontractor
  • Familiarity with Tribal 8(a) in federal contracting

 

Security Clearance

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance: Top Secret preferred

 

Compensation and Benefits

The expected compensation range for this position is $190,000.00 to $205,000.00 per year negotiable depending upon education and experience. Work Environment

 This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Frequently the standard office equipment moves up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday,8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hybrid remote work environment. Evening and weekend hours are required, as required by business need.

 

Travel

Travel up to 20%. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
