POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Account Director, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships, overseeing the development and execution of advertising campaigns, and driving the overall growth and success of our agency. You will lead a team of account managers and collaborate closely with creative, strategy, and production departments to ensure the delivery of exceptional advertising solutions. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills. You will ensure that Grey continues to champion our team's efforts in making Famously Effective work for our clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client + Brand Advisor
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business goals, needs, and challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic guidance and expert advice on advertising and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients' industries, competitors, and target audience to provide effective and relevant solutions.
  • Help clients weigh options, evaluate trade-offs and make decisions
  • Creative Collaborator and Creative Champion
  • Own workstreams, report to the VP or SVP to build a project path from the ground up, and work closely with your agency partners, including Creative, Strategy/Planning, Project Management, Talent, and Finance.
  • Manage strategic creative development, production, and post-production of advertising communications, including but not limited to film (broadcast and online), print, and social.
  • Develop accurate budgets and timelines and manage budget in partnership with Project Management and Finance, support Senior Account Leadership by continuously reviewing financial performance at the top and bottom line, and successfully forecast against a project pipeline and guide investment decisions toward healthy agency profitability. Closely manage and track the agency SOW with clients and identify opportunities for incremental scope.
  • Oversee content shoots (including attending pre-production meetings and shoots), supervise post-production processing (including process review, rough cuts, etc), and work on digital and social initiatives (website builds, upkeep, social media, landing pages, and microsites). Deep understanding of the production process across channels (digital, static, social, etc).
  • Manage integrated relationships among partner companies
  • Build strong business cases in support of Grey's ideas and solutions
  • Negotiate reasonable deadlines and deliverables with clients.
  • Contribute to the quality and effectiveness of the creative brief

Growth Oriented Agency Leader
  • Lead junior Account team members, provide cross-disciplinary leadership by being prepared, proactive, thorough, fair, and balanced, and have the willingness to do what's required by clearly communicating and managing expectations.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of your client's market landscape, including competition, with a perspective and POV on trends that bring innovative thinking and ensure forward-looking work.

Intentional Leadership
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative market research from stimuli creation to pull-through of learnings to optimize tactics.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging innovation, professional growth, and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, set goals, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
  • Start to identify opportunities for business growth.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
  • Passionate interest in the client's business while you always look for ways to get upstream within the organization.
  • High creative output standards, expecting the full team to be passionate, focused, and committed to making Famously Effective work for our clients
  • 6+ years in a related environment (marketing, agency, product, etc).
  • Experience in full 360 integrated work, including but not limited to TV, content, digital, social, and OOH.
  • Experience in developing and leading work in omni-channel format.
  • Experience in partnering with clients and strategy team in shaping, leading the prep for, and implementing insights from market-research projects.
  • Experience in building strong client relationships that result in excellent work and drive organic growth.
  • Experience in effective account housekeeping (timelines and budget development and management).
  • Proven track record of supervising and developing junior Account talent.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. $100,000-$230,000 USD
