Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with VP Global Sales to develop annual strategy and sales budget.
  • Create a clear action plan to achieve sales goals outlined in the strategy.
  • Manage group inquiries and ensure timely follow-ups with hotel teams.
  • Ensure client inquiries are handled efficiently and in line with group policies.
  • Conduct sales calls and develop ongoing account plans.
  • Collaborate with hotel executives to organize sales visits in the marketplace.
  • Assist in organizing trade shows, exhibitions, and sales missions.
  • Plan and facilitate familiarization trips for key market hotels and participate as necessary.

About the Role

As the Account Director, Global Sales - MICE, you will assist in maximising sales - revenue and room-night goals for the company across the North America Source Market, with a strong focus on MEIA hotels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in co-ordination with the VP Global Sales Americas and Europe to produce the annual strategy plan and group sales budget for the above areas.
  • Build a clear plan to achieve the agreed goals and objectives set out in the annual sales plan.
  • Handle group requests and follow-ups with our hotel teams.
  • Ensure response to all clients 'enquiries are timely, efficient, and according to the group policies.
  • Conduct sales calls and follow up accordingly, supporting ongoing account plans and development.
  • Liaise with hotel executives in the co-ordination of their sales visits to the marketplace.
  • Assist in organizing trade shows, exhibitions, and sales missions.
  • Organize familiarization trips to key hotels for the above markets and take part when necessary.
  • Research new sources of business within the MICE segment, working with end users, third parties DMCs, airlines and tourism board partners.


About You

  • Proven senior sales leadership experience (minimum 5 years) in a similar role or market.
  • Strong industry network with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive key partnerships..
  • Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation and revenue management understanding.
  • Data-driven decision maker with a focus on customer value and long-term business impact.
  • Collaborative and engaging team player with strong relationship-building capability.
