About the RoleWe have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Account Director to join one of our medical affairs teams at Ashfield MedComms. This role would suit a candidate who enjoys being a strategic leader, multi-tasking, and is motivated to drive and develop the business.
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, global authors, and leading experts. Bringing clarity, structure, and momentum to complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
This is a remote role but does include mandatory travel for things like on site advisory boards, estimated at 20%, primarily domestic.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead and oversee a diverse portfolio of medical communications projects from strategy through delivery.
- Provide scientific and strategic consultation to clients across a range of therapeutic areas and products.
- Manage the planning and execution of projects including medical education initiatives, satellite symposia, congress activities, launch planning, and digital or multimedia programs.
- Apply strong project management and leadership skills to ensure high-quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery.
- Research and interpret scientific literature to provide subject matter expertise and strategic recommendations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted partnerships and ensuring exceptional client service.
- Anticipate client needs, identify opportunities for growth, and consistently deliver high business standards.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, with line management responsibilities where applicable.
About you:- 5-8+ years of experience in healthcare or medical communications, with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of drug development, commercialization, and strategic healthcare communications.
- Proven ability to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex client programs.
- Experience working on advisor boards in a medical communications setting.
- An inspirational leader with excellent people management skills and a passion for developing and mentoring others.
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams and with clients.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. $110,000-$130,000 USD
