General Summary of the Job:This role is responsible for executing structured outbound prospecting and supporting early-stage qualification of new business opportunities, engaging decision makers, and building prospect interest through multi-channel outreach. It operates within defined processes and playbooks, maintaining accurate CRM data and collaborating with sales teams to progress opportunities and ensure effective handover. The role focuses on developing foundational sales skills, applying coaching to improve performance, and escalating more complex situations as needed, while demonstrating strong organisation, communication, and resilience in a target-driven environment.
Essential Functions:- Execute structured outbound prospecting and qualification activities under guidance
- Identify and engage appropriate decision makers and influencers within prospective customer organisations
- Plan and execute daily outreach aligned to campaigns and target segments
- Conduct structured discovery conversations to support opportunity qualification and needs assessment
- Build and maintain prospect interest through phone, digital, social, and email interactions
- Progress opportunities through early qualification stages, ensuring clear handover criteria are met
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM updates to support pipeline visibility and follow-up
- Collaborate with sales teams and partners to align on next steps and opportunity progression
- Work on routine assignments using defined processes, tools, and playbooks
- Develop foundational knowledge of products, value propositions, and qualification frameworks
- Apply guidance and coaching to improve objection handling, discovery, and qualification techniques
- Escalate complex situations to manager or sales team
Minimum Requirements:
* Prior experience in persistently cold-calling new account targets
* Six months to a year of experience in researching and sourcing your own sales leads is critical. Please have this listed in your resume, so we can see where you gained this experience
* Must currently reside in Charlotte, NC., St. Louis, MO., Austin, TX.
* A completed Bachelor's Degree is required
* Minimum 1+ years of business development or sales-related experience
* Growing existing accounts in new divisions and qualifying new business prospects
* Proven ability to open doors, and build relationships at all levels in an organization
* Able to think creatively and apply new ideas to overcome objections and barriers
* Works well on a team and has strong interpersonal skills
* Highly organized and can handle a large volume of opportunities
* Proficient in using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
* Ability to research and quickly simulate information into action
* Self-motivated and target driven

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:- Normal office environment. Often requested to work long hours at quarter-end, at times of key project roll out periods or in the Management support or back-up roles.

The pay range for this position is 73,000 - 146,000 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
