ResponsibilitiesJoin the Academic Section of Internal Medicine and be an integral part of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Joseph Medical Center!
Qualifying candidates will have 2 years' experience working as a hospitalist as well as experience teaching medical students and residents post training. Candidates must be board-certified in internal medicine. No new graduates considered.Highlights:- See patients with medical residents and students in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Position involves rotations for inpatient, outpatient and skilled nursing care
- Participate in teaching lectures and didactics as part of the core curriculum for the IM residency program
- Provide mentorship to medical students and residents
- Participate in program evaluation and resident evaluation
Position Details:- Inpatient 7on/7off
- 12-hour shifts
- Shared equal call for all providers
- On call on average 1 in 4 weekends for inpatient rounding with house staff
- All candidates must be board certified in internal medicine
- All candidates must have 2 years' experience working inpatient medicine post residency
- Experience training medical students and residents post residency
QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING1. 3-5 years work experience in internal medicine inpatient care
2. Current State Medical License - MD or DO
3. Unrestricted Current DEA Registration
4. Current State Board of Pharmacy Controlled Substance Certificate of Registration
5. BLS (AHA or ARC) or ACLS (AHA or ARC) certification required
