Qualifications

Relevant Experience:
• Familiarity with DST501 or similar introductory Critical Disability Studies course
• Experience supporting students in creating online video assignments
• Familiarity with key debates surrounding ableist hate crime, medical assistance in dying, Deaf culture, genetic selection/eugenics, work and disability and cure science
• Experience with the implementation of universal design in learning principles in the online context
• Excellent understanding of D2L features
• Experience moderating working at the interface of google suite tools and D2L Brightspace

Salary & Compensation

September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027
Academic Assistants Undergrad - $40.56 per hour

Please Note: Course delivery in Fall will be online, in-person or hybrid at the sole discretion of the hiring unit. Candidates hired for in-person courses will be required to carry out their teaching and/or other duties on campus. Candidates teaching remotely are required to have access to the appropriate technology, i.e. computer with camera and microphone and high-speed internet.
