Position Description

The In-Home ABA Team (I-HAT) is a new service offering within the Clinical services Program, providing clients aged 1-18 with autism, developmental and sensory related concerns in home ABA services. Reporting to the Manager, Behavior Analysis, the ABA Clinical Supervisor provides clinical supervision and administrative oversight of the In-Home ABA Team. This position will be responsible for leading the implementation of in-home behavior reduction programs and skill building programs for children, assessing program effectiveness, providing staff support and supervision, and oversight of day-to-day operational requirements.

Main Responsibilities

Behavior Analytic Supervision:
  • Provide clinical supervision to ABA Therapists, or other non-registered behavior analytic service providers.
  • Assessment, development, and monitoring of behavioral programs, ensuring effective coordination of client care.
  • Clinically responsible for all clients and determining the appropriate level of supervision.
  • Lead the delivery of function-based assessments/analyses.
  • Work together with the Manager to develop waitlists and wellness supports for families referred and in partnership with other team members
  • Maintain comprehensive supervision records and client records as it pertains to CPBAO's Standards of Practice, the Ontario Autism Programs Standards of Practice and Surrey Place's policies.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, case conferences and other client related activities as needed.

Program and Service Excellence:
  • Support the clinical development of staff by building relationships with autism services to provide seamless processes across programs.
  • Work collaboratively with Toronto Autism Service partner agencies to ensure coordination of information and support for parents.
  • Provide service delivery in person, in the community, homes or locations where our clients reside.

People Services/Operations Management:
  • Support the Manager to ensure People Services and Operations requirements are met, developing service schedules, monitoring and problem solving as required to effectively utilize service/staff capacity.
  • Implement and monitor operational/administrative quality improvement processes and measures e.g., client database, administrative requirements, etc.
  • Hiring, supervision and annual review of frontline staff including management of vacation/LOA requests, sick leave and accommodations.
  • Provide employees with feedback and ensure skills development and training needs are identified and proper training is planned and executed.
  • Foster a productive team environment by effectively solving problems (e.g., employee or parent issues), and coaching, mentoring, and motivating staff.
  • Support the Manager with developing and monitoring the implementation of staff orientation and training procedures.
  • Support the Manager in gathering and analyzing service data relevant to funder requirements and/or reporting processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology or Developmental Disabilities with study/experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Member in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behavior Analysts of Ontario as a Registered Behavior Analyst.
  • 5 years' work experience in developing and/or delivering ABA services.
  • 1 year related supervisory experience in a health care or social services environment.
  • A thorough understanding of principles and conceptual issues of ABA.
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel within the GTA.
  • This position may require some evening and Saturday work.
  • A satisfactory Police Records Check (Vulnerable Sector Screening).
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
