Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Structures Engineering is seeking a
787 Wing and Empennage Senior Manager (Level L) in
Everett, WA. This role reports directly to the 787 Airframe Chief Engineer and offers a unique opportunity to lead a global team supporting the 787 Program.

- Ensures product, technical integration, process compliance and regulatory standards for 787 Wing & Empennage
- Manages employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
- Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering
- 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams from proposal through execution
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of innovative solutions in engineering challenges.
- Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to all stakeholders.
- Solid technical background with the ability to guide and mentor the team.
- Proven ability to lead with the Boeing Values

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay range: $176,800 - $239,200
