3 RD CLASS POWER ENGINEER, BROOKS, ALBERTA We are currently seeking a
3 rd Class Power Engineer to join our JBS Team located in Brooks, Alberta
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Ensure total care and control of the Boiler Room and associate ancillary equipment
- Ensure total care and control of a large ammonia refrigerated plant
- Ensure daily plant inspection of ammonia refrigeration and boiler systems and that all systems are operating in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure the recording of data and all relevant information to the operation of the plant under the Chief Engineer's jurisdiction
- Have a bias for action to reduce energy consumption be it gas, electricity, water, and ammonia usage
Qualifications and Requirements: - Valid (ABSA Certified) 3 rd Class Power Engineering certificate
- A minimum 2 years of industrial experience is required
- Proven team leader, team player, committed to excellence, and positive attitude
- Knowledge of Ammonia refrigeration systems and natural gas fired steam boiler systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
