Purpose

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse in a food manufacturing environment. This includes managing inventory, shipping/receiving, team performance, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations within the food industry and a strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate warehouse team members to ensure efficient receiving, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Monitor daily workflow to meet production and shipping schedules.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and physical inventory processes.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards, including GMPs, allergen control, and sanitation protocols.
  • Oversee proper handling and storage of perishable and non-perishable food products.
  • Enforce warehouse safety policies and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely material flow.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure high performance and compliance with company standards.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with FDA, USDA, and internal audit requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or related coursework preferred.
  • 3+ years of warehouse experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF).
  • Forklift certification preferred.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing, walking, and operating warehouse equipment for extended periods.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and warehouse conditions.

Position offers a starting salary range of $65,800 - $102,900, with a target compensation of approximately $80,000. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
