Job Description:
At TD Securities, the Global Markets Credit function enables the various trading desks to transact with clients by conducting credit underwriting and transaction structuring for various types of counterparty exposures. These clients are users of a wide variety of capital market trading products, such as derivative and lending facilities. The group also performs monitoring and ad hoc reporting on the credit risk profile of TD Securities’ clients.

JOB OVERVIEW
TD Securities is looking for candidates with varying backgrounds and experiences to join our 2027 Global Markets Credit - Summer Analyst Program and be immersed in our inclusive culture! This program will connect you with experienced professionals through on-the-job training and desk rotations.
You will work alongside industry experts in a fast-paced collaborative environment. This is a ten-week program running from early June to mid-August in person in our offices in New York City.
Responsibilities Include
Training & Orientation:
The internship will begin with a firmwide Orientation to integrate you into the culture of the organization, followed by an interactive technical training program. This program is designed to teach you the building blocks of financial institutions and jargon of Global Markets and will prepare you for the next nine weeks of the internship.
Mentorship and Networking:
The internship will include a formal mentorship with employees who will act as a career guide for navigating your experience at TD Securities and beyond. Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to engage in a Senior Speaker Series designed to familiarize participants with the workings of Global Markets as well as our Corporate & Investment Banking, Equity Research, and Business Operations divisions. Summer Analysts will also be able to participate in social networking events with one-another as well as employees of the Firm to experience our culture and assimilate into our Firm.
Hands-on Experience:
- Assist in the preparation of high-quality credit submissions relating to business proposals
- Conduct appropriate market, industry and client credit analysis with clearly articulated rationale for credit decisions and borrower risk ratings
- Work closely with other product groups, including TDS Treasury Sales and Trading, TD Securities Cash Management, TDS Trade Finance and other business areas of TD to ensure that credit needs are being met
- Ongoing monitoring of Counterparty’ performance and credit exposures, including compliance with authorized credit limits and terms, as well as reporting requirements
- Identify potential problems requiring attention and recommend appropriate actions to best manage the risks in deteriorating credit situations
- Contribute to a strong credit culture by proactively raising issues on credit, reputational and operational risks
- Assess the balance of risk and return as part of the credit underwriting process
QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing a (4) year university or college degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
- You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
- All majors welcome, but significant coursework in a business-related field is required
- Results driven, proven academic excellence and strong interpersonal skills
- High ethical and professional standards
- Strong financial/analytical/technical skills, knowledge of MS Excel preferred
- Proactive and highly motivated
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Successful candidates must have the capacity to become adept at financial modeling
- Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated leadership (i.e. sports, clubs, extracurricular activities, and philanthropy, etc.)
PROCESS

- Following resume screening, candidates selected will go through a series of first round screening interviews.
- If selected to progress, you can expect to participate in Superday interviews consisting of several back-to-back interviews with TD Securities professionals.
- The process will take no more than 1-2 months post deadline and candidates can expect to be assessed on both professional and business competencies.
The expected annual base salary is $110,000, pro-rated for the length of the summer internship. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education as well as market factors.
