What You Will DoThe Caterpillar
Accelerated Leadership Development Program is designed to provide experienced professionals with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience that enables them to make a real-world impact. MIT LGO graduates who join Caterpillar, a proud LGO partner company, will have the opportunity to complete a multi-phase program that includes:
* Participant choice of three rotational assignments that include but are not limited to the following areas:
- New Technology Validation
- Autonomy Design
- Product Electrification
- Product Value Chain Design
- Strategic Procurement
- Lean Innovation
- Manufacturing Operations
- Field Assignment (Mine Site Autonomy Deployment or Services Growth)
* Mentorship by a senior Caterpillar Executive
* Intentional Leadership Development & Experiential Learning Opportunities.
* 12-18 month assignment
What You Have - Skills and ExperiencesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute your unique skills and experiences. Below are some of the most critical skills.
- Analytical skills, initiating ideas, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities
- Knowledge of engineering principles, theory, and engineering experience gained through projects, internships, and/or relevant work experiences
- Fundamental understanding of engineering for a manufacturing environment, ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention
- Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ability to quickly gain, and effectively apply new skills & knowledge
- Success in collaborating with others of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, and abilities
- Strong written, and verbal communication skills
- Participate in, and build on our inclusive, constructive, and productive work environment
- Ensure all team member's contributions are recognized and valued
Degree Requirements:- Currently attending a 2-year accredited university/college MBA program and have completed an Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science Degree
Other Requirements:- Expected graduation by August 2027
- Must be willing to travel and relocate domestically
Top candidates will also have:- Hands-on Experience: Participation in campus design or competition teams, or similar hands-on technical projects.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership in team settings or project management roles.
- Industry Exposure: Previous technical internship, co-op, or other relevant professional experience.
- Communication Strength: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Summary Pay Range:$147,760.00 - $221,640.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
