About The Role

As a Pricing Analyst, you will provide revenue support work for Caterpillar products (machines, engines, replacement parts, or related products) and complete related special projects as assigned. This work includes performing product price reviews (internal and external), reviewing product profitability, maintaining price lists, analyzing the transaction price level for both Caterpillar and competitive machines, and administration/evaluating special pricing assessments.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Critical team member in organizations that handle all aspects of pricing for Caterpillar Machines, Energy & Transportation (Engines), and Parts & Services.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, marketing, accounting, and supply chain teams to drive value-based pricing strategies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to advance Caterpillar's digital pricing capabilities, including simplifying and standardizing processes, improving data and systems, and utilizing descriptive and predictive analytics to drive business insights and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance for the execution of dynamic and differentiated pricing strategies.
  • Analysis, interpretation, and communication of a wide variety of data, including economic and competitive environment, revenue and profitability metrics, and historical/forecasted sales, prices, discounts, and price realization.
  • Development of pricing strategies for new and existing products and services to help business segments maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Execute of strategic and tactical price action within a robust pricing governance framework.


What You Will Have

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree at 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (Cumulative GPA).
  • Candidates must obtain their degree before they start.


Desired Qualifications:
  • This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience in this field (excluding internships)

Summary Pay Range:

$81,370.00 - $122,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
