Data Engineering plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization by delivering scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions. This function partners closely with business and technology teams to ensure data is accessible, trustworthy, and positioned to drive innovation, analytics, and operational excellence.

Data Engineering Rotation Overview

Data Engineering & Data Architecture: Leverage modern, cloud-based technologies to develop data pipelines that collect, manage, and transform raw data into usable information for business analysis, data science and other analytic use cases. Build modern software systems with Blue/Green Deployment, chaos testing, A/B testing, API and Agents to support the data needs of the customers with adherence to all code/data quality, security, and compliance standards. Familiarity with AWS environment including EMR, Glue, Step Functions; languages like python/pyspark, coding environments like Git and coding assistants like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, etc. are desirable; but not mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications

Our Early Careers programs are designed for students and recent graduates who are beginning their professional careers, generally within one year of completing their degree.

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree to be received no later than June 2027 (unofficial transcript required upon application) in a STEM major or with STEM coursework learned in associated majors. Examples of considered majors include, but are not limited to, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Library Science, Geography, or Psychology.


Program Requirements
  • Available to start the Program on July 26, 2027.
  • Analyst positions are in-person opportunities, requiring employees to work in the office at least four days per week.

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.

AIG seeks candidates who have excelled in previous work experience, demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possess strong analytical, quantitative and interpersonal skills, and are enthusiastic about learning more about the insurance industry. Salary for this role is between $86,200 and $103,500
