Business Intelligence Rotation Overview

DOAP is leading 24-month Business Intelligence rotation program that recruits high potential individuals from top universities. Throughout the program, DOAP – Business Intelligence participants will develop a breadth and depth of skills and capabilities through three 8-month rotations, that gives you the opportunity to work in the Business Intelligence team that helps you understand the intersection of data, technology, and business strategy. You will gain hands-on experience developing analytics solutions that help leaders make informed decisions. You will collaborate with business partners, data engineers, architects, and analytics professionals to solve real-world business challenges using data. DOAP participants will graduate from the program into a full-time role within the Data Office. DOAP participants can immerse in during the rotation.

Areas of Experience:

Business Intelligence Delivery:
Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that help business leaders monitor performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Gain experience with modern BI platforms, reporting standards, and data storytelling techniques. Develop insightful and fit-for-purpose reporting and visualizations while gaining hands-on experience with a broad spectrum of business intelligence and analytics tools. During this rotation, participants will work with real business data to transform complex information into meaningful insights that drive decision-making across the organization.

Data Modeling & Semantic Layer Fundamentals
Gain exposure to data models, business metrics, KPIs, and semantic layers that provide consistent and trusted reporting across the organization. Understand how data is structured to support scalable analytics.

Analytics & Insights
Analyze enterprise data to uncover patterns, opportunities, and business drivers. Learn how to translate data into actionable recommendations that support strategic and operational objectives. Work with cloud-based analytics ecosystems, data warehouses, and emerging BI technologies. Gain exposure to the tools and platforms that power enterprise reporting and decision-making.

Self-Service Analytics
Learn how organizations enable users to explore data independently through governed self-service reporting and analytics platforms. Understand the balance between flexibility, usability, and governance.

Stakeholder Engagement & Consulting
Partner with business leaders and users to understand reporting needs, gather requirements, and deliver analytics solutions that solve real-world business challenges. Develop consulting, communication, and presentation skills.

AI-Driven Analytics & Innovation
Explore how artificial intelligence, natural language querying, and advanced analytics are transforming the business intelligence landscape and enabling faster, smarter decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

Our Early Careers programs are designed for students and recent graduates who are beginning their professional careers, generally within one year of completing their degree.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to be received no later than June 2027 (unofficial transcript required upon application) in a STEM major or with STEM coursework learned in associated majors. Examples of considered majors include, but are not limited to, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Library Science, Geography, or Psychology.

Program Requirements

• Available to start the Program on July 26, 2027.

• Analyst positions are in-person opportunities, requiring employees to work in the office at least four days per week.

AIG seeks candidates who have excelled in previous work experience, demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possess strong analytical, quantitative and interpersonal skills, and are enthusiastic about learning more about the insurance industry. The Salary range for this role is $86,200 to $103,000
