About the role:
We are seeking a Supply Chain Data Analyst who combines strong analytical capability with hands-on workflow automation skills. This role will translate raw supply chain, procurement, inventory, and logistics data into actionable insights, while also designing and building automated tools - using AI, Python, and Excel/VBA - that eliminate manual, repetitive reporting work across the organization. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable interpreting data and engineering the pipelines and macros that deliver it.
Responsibilities:
• Data Analysis: Analyze supply chain data (demand, inventory, procurement, logistics, supplier performance) to identify trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports (e.g., in Alteryx, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau) for planning, procurement, and operations stakeholders.
• Automation Development: automate data extraction, cleaning, consolidation, and distribution across ERP, WMS, and spreadsheet-based systems.
• Process Improvement: Identify manual, time-consuming workflows and apply AI tools streamline or eliminate them.
• Data Integration: Connect and reconcile data across ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), TMS/WMS, and spreadsheet sources into unified, reliable datasets.
• SIOP/Forecasting/Inventory Support: Support SIOP/forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply chain dashboard with clean, automated data feeds.
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for scripts, macros, and automated workflows so they are auditable and maintainable by others.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with procurement, planning, logistics, and IT teams to gather requirements and deploy solutions that fit real business needs.

• Experience using AI/LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) to build custom automation or analysis tools.
• Proficiency in Python and Avercast for data manipulation and automation (e.g., pandas, openpyxl, requests).
• Strong Excel skills, including macros/VBA, pivot tables, Power Query, and complex formulas.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI/visualization tools.
• Experience applying AI tools or scripting to automate reporting, data entry, or repetitive analytical tasks.
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and supply chain data structures.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of inventory optimization, demand forecasting, or logistics network design.
• APICS/ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM) or equivalent.
What success looks like
• Manual reporting cycles are measurably reduced through automation (e.g., hours saved per week).
• Key supply chain metrics are available through self-updating dashboards rather than manual pulls.
• Stakeholders trust the data because automated pipelines are accurate, documented, and repeatable.
• Validation is built into workflows and automation
• New automation opportunities are proactively identified and delivered, not just requested.
