Major Duties:
1) Provide Configuration Management (CM) support in four Configuration Management (CM) disciplines: Configuration Identification, Change Control, Status Accounting, and Audits.2) Review and analyze the Development/Sustainment Contractor's Configuration Management (CM) program and data deliveries for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.3) Maintain Configuration Management (CM) files including configuration identification, change control, and status accounting records.4) Implement Configuration Management (CM) plans.5) Participate in the Change Control Board (CCB), to include recording Change Control Board (CCB) approved changes, coordinate, schedule and facilitate meetings, create agenda and meeting minutes 6) Prepare for, conduct, and/or support major audits, such as: Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), and compliance audits, to include audit planning, hardware and software Configuration Items (CIs) audits, and disposition.7) Track CRs and Discrepancy Reports (DRs) / Problem Reports (PRs). 8) Perform studies and monitor effectiveness of configuration management plans to identify potential and existing problems and make recommendations for resolution. 9) Assist the Government in developing and administering configuration management plans; maintaining design traceability and integrity; convening and managing change boards; and preparing for and attending major events such as, but not limited to, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), and Change Control Boards (CCBs).
Education and Experience Requirements
Master's or Doctorate degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
OR, bachelor's degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
Certification Requirements
Configuration Manager (CM) certification from a Nationally recognized organization (e.g., National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII), Configuration Management Process Improvement Center (CMPIC))
Physical Requirements
Occasionally will be required to work in and around aircraft and industrial areas - climbing stairs, ladders, work stands , wing stands, accessing flight decks, cargo bays and potentiallyu confined spaces. Exposed to tripping hazards and sharp edges.
