Union Bankshares Corporation is a publicly traded financial holding company headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. It is the parent company of Union Bank & Trust, which has 157 branches and approximately 200 ATMs located throughout Virginia. Union Bank & Trust offers a wide range of financial services, including personal banking, business banking, and wealth management. The bank was founded in 1902 as the City Bank and Trust Company and has since grown through a series of mergers and acquisitions. In 2013, Union Bankshares Corporation acquired StellarOne Corporation, which expanded its presence in Virginia. As of December 31, 2019, Union Bankshares Corporation had total assets of $13.2 billion and total deposits of $10.8 billion.
