Rayovac Corporation is a manufacturer of batteries and battery-powered devices, headquartered in Fennimore, Wisconsin. The company was founded in 1906 as The French Battery Company. In 1930, the company changed its name to Ray-O-Vac. In 1999, Rayovac acquired Remington Products Company, which included the VARTA battery brand. In 2003, Rayovac acquired United Industries Corporation, which included the consumer products brands Spectracide and Cutter. In 2016, Rayovac was acquired by Spectrum Brands Holdings.
