The Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC) is a component command of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and the United States Navy. The NSWC is responsible for the organization, training, and equipping of all United States Navy SEALs and Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC) units. The command's headquarters is located in San Diego, California. The NSWC was established in 1987 and is responsible for the development and implementation of special operations tactics, techniques, and procedures.
