Houston Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that collects and distributes food to hunger relief charities. It was founded in 1982 and is a member of Feeding America. The organization serves 18 counties in southeast Texas and distributes food to over 1,500 community partners. In 2020, the Houston Food Bank distributed over 159 million meals to those in need. The organization also provides nutrition education and assistance with food stamp applications.
