Administer all types of construction and bridge loans, including processing a high volume of monthly construction draw requests. As needed, close permanent, bridge and construction portfolio loans, affordable housing loans and bond related financing, life insurance and conduit loans.
Develop and execute integrated sales, relationship and community strategies that are aligned with the branch's business plan and that grow the customer base. Strategies include but are not limited to cold/appointment calls, outbound telephone calls, in person meetings, business networking and participation in branch and community events. May conduct educational seminars.
Ability to independently work with lending partners to identify and define the scope of work necessary to produce credible and compliant results, including the selection, coaching and engagement of valuation professionals to complete each assignment.
Develop comprehensive financial and internal audit programs per department procedures. Prepare audit procedures that test compliance with applicable laws, regulations or Bank policy, and the reliance and adequacy of internal controls.
Reviewing the adequacy and outcomes of compliance monitoring done within the Business Unit, and reviewing the results of compliance testing done by second line units, internal audits, compliance incident reporting, complaints, and change management status.
The SBA Underwriting Manager is responsible for assisting SBA Business Development Officers and Relationship Managers with underwriting the most complex new SBA loan requests, including renewals and modifications.
Provide senior subject matter expertise and act as a trusted advisor to business units, including reviewing and/or creating product roadmaps, organizing solution demos, product training and resource materials.
Partner with Human Resources and work closely with other stakeholder groups to ensure the monthly payroll and related expenses including salaries, commissions, incentives, and bonus awards are timely and accurately recorded in the general ledger.
Prepare and review journal entries and develop supporting, auditable documentation. Oversee and manage the capital markets accounting functions, including among others, recognition of investment, debt and derivatives transactions.
Hires and develops quality staff ensuring proper skills and staffing levels to ensure the highest level of customer service; quickly resolves issues of non-performance including termination in accordance with policies and procedures.
This position will build, implement, and maintain a company-wide model risk management program that comprises a governance structure, well-defined policies and standards, internal and/or external model validation and change control processes, back-testing and benchmarking practices, gap remediation and model assumptions documentation.
This includes all routers, switches and monitoring software. Deep understanding of layer 3 routing, VLAN management, and routing protocols (Static routes, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN, PFR, Subnet management, VPN)
