The Florida Courts System is the unified state court system of Florida. It is made up of five types of courts: county courts, circuit courts, district courts of appeal, Florida Supreme Court, and Florida Tax Court. The Florida Courts System is responsible for interpreting and applying state laws, and resolving disputes that arise under state law. The Florida Courts System is also responsible for administering the state's judicial system, including the selection and retention of judges, and the management of court facilities and personnel.
