The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that, along with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., comprise the Federal Reserve System. The Cleveland Fed serves the Fourth Federal Reserve District, which comprises Ohio, western Pennsylvania, eastern Kentucky, and the northern panhandle of West Virginia. It is one of the largest banks in the Federal Reserve System by assets and is responsible for implementing monetary policy, supervising and regulating banks and bank holding companies, and providing financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government.
