Chatham University is a private university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1869 as the Pennsylvania Female College and was renamed Chatham College in 1955. In 2007, it was granted university status and adopted its current name. Chatham University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of fields, including business, health sciences, and sustainability. The university is known for its commitment to sustainability and was the first university in Pennsylvania to receive a gold rating from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.
