ArtCenter College of Design is a private college in Pasadena, California. The college offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of disciplines, including advertising, entertainment design, environmental design, film, fine art, graphic design, illustration, interaction design, photography and imaging, product design, transportation design, and writing. The college was founded in 1930 as the Art Center School. In 1935, the school moved to its current location in Pasadena. In 1949, the school became Art Center College of Design. ArtCenter is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission to award baccalaureate and master's degrees. The college has a number of notable alumni and attendees, including artists, designers, and filmmakers.
