The Senior Software Architect / Solutions Architect is responsible for working with various stakeholders to define the software and solution architectures for new software systems as well as major enhancements of existing software systems. The architect will be responsible for all aspects of the software architecture process including requirements gathering, interviewing key stakeholders, designing the software and solution architecture, documenting the architecture description models, views, perspectives, and scenarios, as well as working closely with a development team to implement the solution. This role will work collaboratively with the architecture team to define standards, serve as a domain expert, and provide mentoring and oversight to the development teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to evaluate requirements, identify solutions, and design software and solution architecture to meet the needs of stakeholders for both new and enhanced software systems.
Drive software design for agile software teams, including providing patterns, design diagrams and team direction and mentorship.
Plan, track, and schedule software deliverables.
Document architecture descriptions using TOGAF and ISO/IEC/IEEE 42010 standards.
Develop strong working relationships with other team members both within architecture and development as well as across teams such as Product Management, Marketing, Security, DevOps, Support, Cloud Ops, Sales, and Implementation.
Develop candidate architectures, weighing options such as cost, complexity, efficiency, and time to market.
Stay up to date on business initiatives and objectives, particularly as these relate to development and architecture.
Research new technology, frameworks, patterns and best practices, and development methods to remain abreast of current and emerging technologies.
Participate in architecture team activities, such as design reviews, development of new or updated standards, code reviews, as well as providing guidance and mentoring to development teams.

EDUCATION DESIRED:

Bachelor Degree desired or equivalent military or work experience

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

9+ years of progressive experience and proficiency in the following:
C#
Web Application Architecture
HTML/ JavaScript / CSS / JSON
Web Services (Soap & Rest)
Experience with Angular1.x, Angular2+, JQuery and Bootstrap strongly desired
Node.js, ASP.net and ASP.net Core desired
Experience with Service Oriented, N-Tier, Layered and Micro-Services Architectures
Experience with Cloud Architecture as well as implementing cloud native solutions in a large public cloud (Azure Preferred).
Data and messaging experience using systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Azure blob storage, S3, RabbitMQ, Service Bus, Redis or Memcached.
Motivated and well-organized, driven to obtain personal, team and corporate goals, able to excel at setting tasks, following up proactively, and managing deliverables in a dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to maintain and grow relationships and foster team culture.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information to various audiences and all levels of the company.
