Role overview

At CarGurus, our Learning and Development (L&D) team gives employees the power to grow and thrive by providing programs and tools that fuel development and foster individual and organizational effectiveness. We are looking for a Manager, Learning and Development who can help us accomplish that mission by leading a team of two, focused on new hire onboarding and broader L&D operations. This opportunity is suited for someone who can provide high-level strategic oversight, as well as design and deliver creative learning solutions in response to key business and employee needs. What you'll do

Manage a team of two focused on new hire onboarding and broader L&D operations.
Improve our onboarding strategy, in partnership with team members and partners, to create an extraordinary experience for new hires that leaves them feeling engaged, empowered, and enabled from Day 1.
Manage, design, and deliver learning programs and solutions that solve for our needs and address skill gaps for employees.
Lead evaluation and reporting for L&D, partnering with Talent Management and People Analytics to enable robust assessment strategies to measure the results and impact of our learning solutions. Use data insights to evolve and create existing and future learning offerings.
Consult with HRBPs and business leaders to implement our L&D strategy/plan with a specific focus on Engineering and Product functions, sharing our enterprise programs and creating targeted and function- level solutions, as needed.
Collaborate with Legal and HR teams on culture and compliance trainings Ensure alignment and cohesion between training programs and people initiatives, including our Core Values and Leadership Capabilities.

What you'll bring

8+ years of professional work experience in Learning and Organizational Development and a passion for learning and growth.
Diligent to execute projects in a timely fashion; ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly-changing environment.
Committed to delivering high-quality and impactful results.
Ability to identify and understand business and employee needs and translate them into versatile and impactful learning solutions.
Proven expertise in curriculum design and development.
Excellent facilitation skills and stand up training experience.
Data-driven with an ability to evaluate learning programs beyond learner experience, including behavior change and impact on the business.
Comfortable managing a wide variety of personalities and styles to inspire participation and commitment in training curriculum execution.
Familiarity with a variety of education technology and tools.
Experience with learning content curation and knowledge management.
Desired Experience identifying and delivering learning solutions for Engineering and Product teams is valued.
