In-House Counsel attorneys are hired by companies who require legal work and advice that is dedicated to their key needs and requirements. An in-house counsel attorney is free to focus entirely on the diverse legal needs of the hiring company. Areas such as regulatory, employment, policy, commerce and more can be covered with the hiring company’s particular goals and issues as the focal point. In a large corporation, in-house counselors may play a managerial role over work out-sourced to independent attorneys. Qualifications include a recognized law degree and admission to a recognized bar.
