Careers in Construction

Over 10 million Construction professionals are employed in the US. There are essentially three types of construction: industrial, infrastructure, and buildings. Not surprisingly, the construction industry is made up of many disciplines, departments and hierarchies: design experts, financial advisors, legal, procurement and cross-departmental, highly skilled teams that help maintain this powerhouse industry. Qualifications and certifications are based on disciplines and include: CSCS card (labor); CPCS card (machinery); SMSTS certificate (managerial); and a bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines.
