Job title: Zone Development Manager - Hematologic Oncology

Location: Denver, CO

Main Responsibilities:
  • The Zone Development Manager supports two Divisional General Managers (West and Central) and a combined field team of Regional Business Directors, Account Business Managers, Key Account Managers, and Thought Leader Liaisons.
  • This role requires approximately 40% travel to support field activities, divisional meetings, and training programs.
  • Candidates should ideally reside within the West or Central region.
  • Candidates based in the Boston/Cambridge, MA area are also encouraged to apply, as proximity to Sanofi's home office provides additional development opportunities for those with long-term home office career aspirations.


Reporting Structure:
  • Reports directly to the West Divisional General Manager.


What You'll Do:
  • Responsibilities are organized across three core areas of focus. Prioritization is directed by the Divisional General Manager and may shift based on evolving business needs.


Communications & Operations (~40% of Role):
  • Operationalize divisional strategy and communications - Create agendas for key divisional meetings, execute timely follow-up, and assign actionable items with clear accountability to appropriate stakeholders
  • Manage divisional resources and budget - Coordinate promotional programming, congress activities, and budget allocation to maximize business impact
  • Drive operational excellence - Help train field teams on key business tools and systems (Veeva, analytics platforms); pilot new initiatives before broader rollout
  • Support strategic account planning - Implement and scale account planning initiatives across the division to optimize customer engagement
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration - Participate on key work streams (SFAST, marketing partnerships, special projects) to ensure the field voice is represented in home office decisions


Data & Insights (~40% of Role):
  • Track and analyze performance metrics across account, divisional, regional, and territory levels to generate actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making
  • Conduct sales and gap analyses to determine the effectiveness of sales strategy and recommend solutions to improve sales performance
  • Provide ongoing national, divisional, regional, and territory-level analysis to identify ways to optimize overall performance
  • Evaluate current analytics tools in partnership with the Divisional General Manager and provide ongoing input for improvement
  • Share analytics best practices across the division and nation in collaboration with the Divisional General Manager


Professional Development (~20% of Role):
  • Collaborate with training and field teams to develop comprehensive POAs that align with organizational goals
  • Support planning and successful execution of POA meetings in conjunction with the POA Planning Group
  • Participate in field working groups including SFAST, IC, Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs), Data Champs, and Culture Team initiatives
  • Support New Hire Training programs and ABM field training initiatives


About you:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required; life sciences or business preferred | MBA a plus
  • 4+ years of industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device in roles such as sales, commercial operations, marketing, training, or project management
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product information
  • Ability to travel to meetings, trainings, and programs as required; approximately 40% travel expected
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must reside within the West or Central region, or in the Boston/Cambridge, MA area


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Oncology commercial experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in field-based training, project management, commercial operations, sales, sales leadership, or marketing
  • Proven track record as a high-level performer with demonstrated readiness for expanded responsibility
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute business plans that achieve commercial goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentation ability
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to influence without authority
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, whether formal or informal
  • Career aspirations toward home office leadership, field management, or senior commercial roles

The salary range for this position is:
$113,250.00 - $163,583.33
