The Opportunity

Join a mission-driven team as a Systems Engineer supporting DevOps activities for the Zero Trust Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ZT ICAM) program. In this role, you’ll contribute to automated build, test, deployment, monitoring, and release pipelines for enterprise-grade solutions used across diverse DoD environments. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, expand your hands-on Kubernetes and DevOps expertise, and play a key part in delivering secure, scalable systems that support critical national-security operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of highly available enterprise web services for an ICAM solution.
• Assist in developing and enhancing automated DevOps pipelines for build, test, packaging, deployment, and monitoring.
• Maintain and improve deployment configurations, documentation, and repeatable processes across customer environments.
• Support Linux-based and containerized environments, including Kubernetes and microservices architectures.
• Contribute to Attribute-Based Access Control services that interface with LDAP directories, REST APIs, and other microservices.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience in SIGINT, IA, or IT domains.
• Candidates may substitute 4 additional years of software engineering experience for the degree requirement (total of 9 years).

Desired:

• Strong proficiency in Java development.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining RESTful services.
• Skilled with Git version control and Maven build tools.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments.
• Experience developing scalable, secure, high-performance applications.
• Ability to write effective unit tests using JUnit/Mock frameworks.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated build processes.
• Knowledge of PKI-based authentication and encryption.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration.
