Job Description:
Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a WW Inventory & Optimization Lead, located in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.The WW Inventory & Optimization Lead will be responsible for leading key inventory entitlement processes, developing actionable analytics, and translating data into business decisions that balance customer service, inventory efficiency, and financial commitments. This individual will partner closely with regional supply chain, planning, finance, commercial, and operations teams to ensure inventory strategies are understood, governed, and executed effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Lead the inventory entitlement process for Wound Closure & Healing and Biosurgery main storage locations, ensuring inventory targets are aligned with service level expectations, supply chain strategy, and financial commitments.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance inventory analytics, reporting tools, and dashboards to provide visibility into entitlement, safety stock, cycle stock, inventory targets, excess, backorders, and optimization opportunities.
- Partner with global and regional supply chain teams to monitor inventory performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive actions that support inventory reduction, service improvement, and business continuity.
- Build and monitor key performance indicators and governance routines to ensure inventory plans are respected, optimization initiatives are progressing, and performance gaps are addressed in a timely manner.
- Prepare analyses and executive-level content for key business planning processes, inventory reviews, financial updates, and leadership discussions.
- Translate complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and business actions for cross-functional stakeholders, including supply chain, planning, finance, commercial, and operations teams.
- Challenge current processes, assumptions, and ways of working by identifying opportunities for simplification, automation, digital enablement, and improved decision-making.
- Support scenario modeling and what-if analysis related to inventory targets, demand variability, lead time changes, deployment strategies, service levels, and network impacts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align on inventory strategies, resolve trade-offs, and influence decisions that balance service, cost, cash, and operational feasibility.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reporting accuracy, reduce manual work, improve governance, and increase organizational capability in inventory optimization.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation:- Minimum of a Bachelor’s or equivalent University Degree required; Focused degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
- An advanced degree such as an MBA, Master’s in Supply Chain, Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Required:- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in supply chain, inventory management, planning, analytics, operations, finance, or a related business function.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets, identify trends, connect business drivers, and convert data into actionable recommendations.
- Experience developing, maintaining, or using business intelligence tools, especially Power BI, to support decision-making, performance tracking, and executive reporting.
- Solid understanding of inventory management concepts, including safety stock, cycle stock, inventory targets, service levels, backorders, demand variability, lead time, and excess inventory.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics and present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, influence stakeholders, and align teams around priorities, trade-offs, and business actions.
- Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo, identify process gaps, and recommend practical enhancements.
- Proficiency in English is required. Spanish proficiency is preferred.
Preferred:- Experience in a global or regional supply chain environment, preferably within medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or another regulated industry.
- Advanced Power BI skills, including data modeling, DAX, dashboard design, KPI automation, and performance optimization.
- Experience with SAP, ERP systems, advanced planning systems, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python, Alteryx, Power Query, or other data automation tools.
- Experience with inventory optimization, MEIO, network planning, entitlement modeling, supply planning, or scenario analysis.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including understanding of inventory commitments, working capital, cost-to-serve, and service level trade-offs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation, automation, reporting simplification, or analytics improvement initiatives.
- Ability to bring fresh ideas, leverage technology, and proactively identify better ways to manage inventory visibility, governance, and decision-making.
- Relevant certifications such as APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Power BI, or other supply chain/data analytics certifications are preferred.
