ABOUT THE JOB:The Director of Logistics will set the strategic vision and execution for the supply chain logistics within the organization.

Principal Responsibilities:
- Private fleet transportation management, dispatching, technology
- Direct oversight of Centralized Transportation managers and coordinators at 4 locations
- Functional oversight of Dispatchers across multi location national branch network.
- Enhanced routing optimization management functional expertise
- Manual route planning direct management expertise
- Capacity management and demand planning
- Strategic sourcing inclusive of purchased transportation.
- Enhancing customer experience through ontime delivery and proper communication
- Improving in-house productivity through enhanced route planning and customer date management.
- Operate a kpi driven organization.
- Experienced in system design and change
- Experienced in Mergers and Acquisition integrations into the logistics network
- TMS Administration and Reporting.
- A focus on carrier safety, compliance and contract negotiation.
- Multimodal Carrier management experience
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasting.
- In tune with market trends to provide industry analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations such as, Hours of Service and legal weight limits.
- Executive level KPI reporting - volume, performance and compliance
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree preferred
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accountability in transportation, distribution and supply chain management.
- Experience with centralized logistics organizations
- Strong project management, analytical and organizational skills
- High degree of attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively
- Communicate clearly: both verbal and written with a professional demeanor
