Position OverviewAs a
Workplace Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for the technology that powers Goosehead's conference rooms, meeting spaces, and workplace collaboration experience.
This role will design, deploy, maintain, and support audiovisual (AV), video conferencing, and collaboration technologies across Goosehead offices. You will ensure meeting spaces are reliable, easy to use, and consistently configured while proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact employees or important meetings.
You will work closely with the Service Desk, Infrastructure, Facilities, vendors, and other technology teams to deliver a reliable workplace technology experience.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, maintain, and support conference room and workplace AV technologies
- Support video conferencing and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams Rooms and related technologies
- Monitor conference room technology and proactively identify and resolve equipment or connectivity issues
- Troubleshoot displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, room controllers, conferencing systems, and related equipment
- Establish and maintain standards for conference room technology, configurations, and equipment
- Support new conference room deployments, office expansions, upgrades, and technology refreshes
- Provide technical support for executive meetings, company events, and other high-visibility meetings as needed
- Serve as the escalation point for Service Desk issues involving conference rooms and AV technology
- Coordinate with Infrastructure and networking teams to resolve connectivity and performance issues affecting workplace technology
- Manage AV and workplace technology vendors, including installation, maintenance, and support activities
- Maintain accurate documentation, room configurations, equipment inventories, and troubleshooting procedures
- Identify recurring issues and implement improvements that increase conference room reliability and ease of use
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience supporting audiovisual, video conferencing, workplace technology, or related enterprise technology
- Experience installing and troubleshooting conference room AV equipment, including displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and room control systems
- Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, or comparable enterprise conferencing platforms
- Working knowledge of networking and connectivity concepts relevant to AV and conferencing technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills, particularly when supporting executive or high-visibility meetings
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external vendors
- Ability to document technical configurations, standards, and troubleshooting procedures
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies
- Experience supporting enterprise AV environments across multiple office locations
- Familiarity with Crestron, Logitech, Poly, Cisco, or comparable AV technologies
- Experience coordinating AV installations and conference room buildouts
- Relevant AV or Microsoft certifications are a plus
