As part of the Global Enterprise Operations (EO) team, we are seeking a Workplace Manager to lead the team for one of our corporate offices in Washington DC. As a Workplace Manager, you are the Informed Captain of your site. You don't just manage a building; you are accountable for overall Workplace outcomes and the end-to-end employee experience. You operate as a strategic peer to local business leaders. You are the "Center of the Hub," integrating functional expertise from Workplace Leadership and the wider Enterprise Operations (EO) ecosystem into a seamless workplace experience. Your success is measured by the health of your site's sentiment, the strength of your stakeholder relationships, and your ability to govern world-class vendor performance.
This role exists to replace traditional hands-on building oversight with an elevated business leader who integrates the full operational ecosystem. This role ensures local workspace environments dynamically adapt to evolving business strategies, protect financial run-rates, and keep employee sentiment consistently high.
The role:
Stakeholder Partnership: Operate as the primary Workplace point of contact for local leadership. Understand their business strategy and connect business intel with proactively and fiscally responsibly adapting the environment to support their team's productivity. Develop and manage a strong communication strategy on all levels to ensure cohesive stakeholder engagement, sharing any process change, service enhancement, or workplace-related impact.
Strategic Site Ownership: Own the site's operational budget and long-term roadmap. You make the high-level trade-offs between "Foundations of Excellence" (basics) and "Differentiators" (culture-enhancing activations).
Vendor Governance: Instead of managing tasks, you govern outcomes. You hold our strategic vendor partners accountable to ambitious SLAs, ensuring they operate with proactivity and Netflix-quality standards.
Strong Enterprise Operations Relationships: Lead the integrated workplace approach by effectively partnering with EO functional partners to ensure a unified one team front to the business and employees. You will collaborate and align with cross-functional partners such as AV, Ntech Ops, Corporate Events, Internal Comms, Security Operations, and Systems to ensure we constantly provide a frictionless, safe, and secure workplace and respond to incidents that will occur 24/7.
Budget Ownership: You own your site budget, meticulously managing associated prioritization and trade-offs.
Measurable Performance & Metrics: Track and drive key performance metrics, including employee sentiment scores, vendor SLA compliance benchmarks, and operational efficiency targets.
Office Expansion & Move: within the first 6 months: Step into an existing office build project, and subsequent move in partnership with Program Delivery and other cross functional teams.
Event Execution: Partner with local business leadership to curate and support business driven events, for both internal and external guests
What We're Looking For:
The Holistic Mindset: You are a business leader first and a workplace expert second. You can pivot from a financial budget review to a high-stakes business discussion with a VP.
Workplace Excellence: Your commitment to excellence begins with a focus on consistently delivering the fundamentals at the highest standard.
Accountability: You thrive as an Informed Captain. You use the 70% Global Standard as a foundation and own your 30% Local Nuance, acting decisively on local problems while proactively surfacing decisions that affect other markets.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of workplace experience, with an emphasis on corporate hospitality, hotel management, and event execution.
Strong focus on senior stakeholder engagement and ability to build relationships at all levels.
Comfortable collaborating with diverse team members, including architects, building engineers, property management, project managers, and senior leadership.
High tolerance for change, and the capacity to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience in crisis management, emergency preparedness, and 24/7 workplace incident response.
Passionate about creating a great place for employees & visitors.
Excellent communication and organizational leadership skills.
Positive team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, and client-focused attitude.
Proficiency in GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Slides), Slack, Zendesk (or other ticketing system), visitor management systems, space utilization tools, and security/badge access platforms.
Respect, understanding, and enthusiasm for the Netflix Culture.
