We're looking for a Workplace Investigations Lead to join our team in Raleigh, NC. • Summary

The Workplace Investigations Lead is responsible for leading MPG's workplace investigations program and serving as the organization's subject matter expert in workplace investigations and employee relations matters.

In this role, you will partner with Human Resources, Legal, Safety, Security, Compliance, and Operations teams to conduct complex investigations, mitigate organizational risk, and promote a culture of integrity, respect, and accountability. This position plays a critical role in ensuring consistent application of company policies and maintaining a positive workplace environment.
• What You'll Do
  • Lead complex workplace investigations involving employee misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, ethics concerns, workplace violence, and policy violations.
  • Develop and maintain workplace investigation standards, case management practices, and documentation requirements.
  • Conduct interviews, collect and analyze evidence, and prepare comprehensive investigation reports and findings.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, Safety, Security, Compliance, and Operations leaders to resolve sensitive workplace matters.
  • Recommend corrective actions and preventative measures that align with company policies and business objectives.
  • Escalate matters involving fraud, security concerns, intellectual property issues, regulatory risks, or potential criminal activity when appropriate.
  • Monitor trends and identify opportunities to improve workplace practices, policies, and compliance efforts.
  • Deliver training related to complaint handling, workplace investigations, documentation, and escalation protocols.
  • Support ethics reporting programs, whistleblower activities, and compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain investigation records and documentation in accordance with privacy, legal, and records retention requirements.
  • Provide consultation to leaders on employee relations issues, workplace investigations, and organizational risk management.
• What You'll Bring
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, Organizational Leadership, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of workplace investigations, employee relations, compliance, security, or corporate investigations experience.
  • Experience investigating matters within manufacturing, logistics, industrial, warehouse, or distribution environments.
  • Experience supporting hourly, contingent, temporary, and contract workforces.
  • Demonstrated experience handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Multi-site and/or 24/7 operational environment experience preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CFE, AWI Workplace Investigator Certificate, or similar credentials are preferred.

  • Knowledge of employment law, employee relations practices, and workplace investigation methodologies.
