Full Job Description
Star Pediatrics by Abound Health is seeking a Workforce Operations Manager to join our team in New Jersey. In this role, you will report to the VP of Nursing Operations. The Workforce Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing workforce deployment and service delivery operations across our Private Duty Nursing (PDN) business. This leader will drive workforce utilization, reduce open patient care hours, and build scalable processes that align nurse availability with patient service needs. The ideal candidate is a technology-driven operational leader who excels at managing teams, leveraging data, and improving performance in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Staffing Coordinators.
  • Drive workforce planning, capacity management, and staffing strategies to maximize authorized service utilization and minimize open patient care hours.
  • Analyze workforce and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and accountability structures that drive operational excellence.
  • Partner closely with Nursing Operations, Talent Acquisition, Clinical Leadership, and Operations teams to ensure staffing needs are met.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, service delivery, and workforce performance.
  • Ensure consistent use of workforce management systems, CRM platforms, reporting tools, and operational processes.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing operational, service delivery, staffing, workforce management, healthcare operations, call center, or similar high-volume teams.
  • Proven experience directly managing and developing teams with measurable performance goals and KPIs.
  • Strong technology proficiency with experience utilizing CRM, workforce management, scheduling, or operational systems.
  • Demonstrated success using data and analytics to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution.
  • Must reside in New Jersey and be able to travel regularly between our Mount Laurel, Howell, and Saddle Brook offices.

Compensation & Benefits

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $80,000 - $95,000 annually.

Base pay is determined by factors such as work location, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, total compensation may include various other forms of pay. For employees working 30 hours or more on average per week, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive health, dental, and wellness benefits, which begin on your 60th day of employment following first of the month. Additionally, our 401(k) plan becomes available after 6 months of employment and 500 hours worked (Full-time employees only).
