Job Overview:The Workface Planning Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing effective workface planning strategies for Primoris Energy Services' Nexus projects, ensuring efficient and safe execution of construction activities.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Lead the development and implementation of workface planning processes, procedures, and tools for Nexus projects.
* Collaborate with project management, engineering, construction, and procurement teams to identify work packages and define their scope, boundaries, and prerequisites.
* Oversee the creation of detailed work packages, including job cards, drawings, material lists, equipment requirements, and safety instructions.
* Facilitate daily and weekly workface planning meetings to coordinate resources, resolve constraints, and optimize work sequences.
* Monitor and track work package progress, identifying potential roadblocks and developing mitigation strategies.
* Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards through effective workface planning.
* Provide training and mentorship to project teams on workface planning principles and best practices.
* Conduct regular audits of workface planning effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain a strong focus on safety throughout all planning and execution activities.
* Generate reports on workface planning performance and present findings to project stakeholders.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in construction project management or supervision, with at least 3-5 years specifically in workface planning or advanced work packaging roles.
* Proven experience on large-scale energy infrastructure projects (e.g., pipelines, processing facilities, power generation).
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and logistics.
* Proficiency in workface planning software and tools (e.g., SmartPlant Construction, T-CON, Navisworks).
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations.
* Ability to travel to project sites as required.
