- Define and enforce segregation of duties (SoD), audit controls, and configuration guardrails across HCM and Financials
- Establish high-risk vs. low-risk configuration standards, including clear ownership and approval requirements
- Intervene directly in configuration changes for complex or high-risk configurations, those requiring advanced technical expertise and those that cannot be supported under the Workday Success Plan
- Serve as the final authority on production readiness and change promotion for high-risk configurations
- Provide oversight and guidance for complex or high-risk configuration changes
- Define when Object Transporter or other migration tools are used vs. manual promotion
- Partner with business teams to balance access needs with risk controls
- Oversee Workday semi-annual releases, ensuring structured impact assessment and coordinated UAT with the business
- Own all Workday integrations with external systems, including Accounting Center and other downstream platforms
- Partner with integration teams to ensure scalable, supportable, and well-governed integration patterns
- Ensure integrations align with enterprise architecture standards and data governance principles
- Evaluate when to leverage external partners vs. internal capabilities
- Ensure platform stability, performance, and continuous improvement
- Partner with Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to align priorities, roadmap, and operating model
- Drive clarity on roles and responsibilities between IT and business teams
- Provide guidance and mentorship to configuration analysts and business users
- Own New member onboarding and large-scale transformation project executions
