Full Job Description
Workday Senior Consultant, Benefits (AMS) to join our growing Application Management Services (AMS) practice.

As a Workday AMS Partner, Avaap provides ongoing operational and strategic support that enables clients to maximize the value of their Workday investment. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to clients by supporting, optimizing, and enhancing Workday Benefits configurations and related business processes in a post-production environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong functional expertise in Workday Benefits and ACA configuration, along with the ability to independently manage client relationships, recommend improvements, and proactively identify upstream and downstream impacts of configuration decisions.

Responsibilities Include

  • Provide functional support and consulting expertise for Workday Benefits within an AMS environment
  • Review and assess existing client configurations and recommend enhancements aligned to business needs and Workday best practices
  • Support and optimize ACA-related processes, configurations, and compliance activities
  • Analyze Workday release notes and proactively recommend client-specific enhancements and opportunities for optimization
  • Advise clients on configuration impacts, dependencies, and downstream considerations while educating stakeholders throughout the process
  • Support small projects, enhancement initiatives, testing efforts, and production support activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Benefits-related issues and process challenges
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional functional and technical teams
  • Manage multiple client priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced consulting environment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and knowledge sharing across the AMS practice


Qualifications

  • Active Workday Benefits Certification
  • Strong experience configuring and supporting Workday Benefits
  • Experience supporting ACA processes and related configurations
  • Ability to independently manage client-facing responsibilities and priorities
  • Strong understanding of upstream and downstream impacts within Workday business processes
  • Experience reviewing and applying Workday release functionality and enhancements
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple concurrent client initiatives


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Higher Education and/or Government clients
  • Experience within Workday AMS or post-production support environments
  • Functional experience in secondary workstreams such as:
    • Compensation
    • Core HCM
  • Experience supporting client optimization and enhancement initiatives
  • Strong testing and documentation experience


Pay Transparency
Compensation for roles at Avaap varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific business unit, team, role, skillset, and level of experience. As required by law, Avaap provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired.

  • Base Salary Range is $115,000 to $160,000 plus 20% variable compensation is available for this specific role. At Avaap it is not typical to be hired at the top of the base salary range.
  • During the interview process, alignment to level will be determined and should level differ from position applied for, a new compensation range will be provided for the appropriate role.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration
  • Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap's physical office locations
  • Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
