We are seeking a skilled Workday Analyst to support end-to-end payroll processing for a large, multi-provincial workforce. The role involves participating in Workday Payroll implementation activities, testing, and deployment support. You will be responsible for executing payroll validation, parallel testing, reconciliations, and data audits, as well as investigating system-related payroll issues and recommending solutions. The position also requires assisting with configuration reviews, process documentation, and user acceptance testing (UAT), supporting payroll reporting, controls, and compliance processes, and partnering with Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and implementation teams to ensure project success. You will contribute to payroll modernization and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with Canadian payroll legislation and organizational policies.
Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end payroll processing for a large, multi-provincial workforce.
• Participate in Workday Payroll implementation activities, testing, and deployment support.
• Execute payroll validation, parallel testing, reconciliations, and data audits.
• Investigate system-related payroll issues and recommend solutions.
• Assist with configuration reviews, process documentation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Support payroll reporting, controls, and compliance processes.
• Partner with Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and implementation teams to ensure project success.
• Contribute to payroll modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian payroll legislation and organizational policies.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in payroll processing and Workday Payroll.
• Experience with Workday implementation and payroll testing.
• Strong skills in payroll validation, system configuration, and process optimization.
• Ability to work in a complex environment with strong communication skills.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or Finance.
• Experience with system testing, UAT coordination, and data validation.
• Ability to troubleshoot defects in Workday.
• Payroll designation or HR designation is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Healthcare experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables, H Lookups, and V Lookups.
• PCP and CHRP designations are advantageous.

Work Environment
The role is primarily based in an office environment in Suite 800, Markham, with a requirement of four days in-office work per week. During the initial Go Live phase in January, the expectation is to work five days a week in-office. The standard workweek is 37.5 hours, typically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. The position may require occasional overtime or weekend work during peak project phases, subject to prior approval. The team is inclusive and supportive, fostering a 'people first' environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Markham, ON.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
