Job Description

The Opportunity:

We, at Flywire, are looking for an experienced Workday Administrator, ideally with a background in FinTech. You will be responsible for the overall health, configuration, and optimization of our Workday ecosystem, primarily across Human Capital Management (HCM) modules with occasional exposure to Financial Management modules. As the Workday subject matter expert, you will be integral in the integrating Workday applications and ensuring that the value of the system is maximized.

Acting as a bridge between HR, Finance, and Engineering, this role ensures that our enterprise systems are seamlessly integrated, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs. You will be partnering closely with cross-functional leaders to provide technical expertise, lead system enhancements, and ensure that every employee and stakeholder can interact with Workday efficiently and securely. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge across Workday HCM, integrations, reporting, security, and business process configuration. Experience with Workday Financials, PRISM, and Accounting Center is considered a plus.

Following the implementation, you will be responsible for administering the Workday systems, providing functional support, updating the system to meet our needs, monitoring end user usage and performing daily administration tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Configuration and Optimization: Execute the roadmap for Workday HCM, including the post-implementation and ongoing administration of the Workday platform. Troubleshoot Workday configuration and reporting issues to identify and fix root causes. Participate in the development and delivery of new Workday features and functionality.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as the primary technical liaison for the HR team, advising on system capabilities and automation opportunities to drive operational efficiency. Partner with Finance and Engineering teams on broader enterprise system initiatives as needed.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day configuration and performance of the Workday platform, including security groups and tenant maintenance. Monitor Workday releases, assess impacts, and partner in testing updates to ensure continued data integrity and business process operation.
  • Governance and Compliance: Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to. Provide assistance to develop and maintain Workday standard operating procedures.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Design, create, maintain and support a variety of reports and queries - both standard and custom - to provide actionable insights for leadership. Experience with Workday Composite Reporting and cross-functional reporting is a plus.
  • Vendor Integration Management: Develop and maintain vendor integrations between Workday and third-party service providers, optimizing integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio) for maximum performance.
  • Technology Transformation: Champion and drive major Workday initiatives, such as semi-annual release testing and new feature adoption from concept to successful deployment.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Establish a culture of continuous improvement by actively evaluating new Workday features and emerging technologies to enhance business efficiency.
  • Training and Support: Develop guidelines and documentation. Provide advanced technical support to ensure the successful adoption of system changes and best practices.
