Full Job Description
Facility Services, Inc. (FSI) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Work Control Lead to support one of our strategic partners in delivering critical Base Operations Support Services at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Job Summary

The Work Control Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, scheduling, and monitoring maintenance, repair, and facility service work to ensure efficient execution of operations. This position serves as the central point of coordination between customers, maintenance personnel, subcontractors, and management to ensure work requests are properly prioritized, scheduled, tracked, and completed in accordance with contractual requirements, safety standards, and organizational objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operation of the Work Control Center and work order management process.
  • Receive, review, prioritize, assign, and track service requests and maintenance work orders.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency service activities.
  • Develop and maintain short- and long-range maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor work order status and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers, maintenance staff, subcontractors, and management.
  • Analyze workload, staffing, and resource requirements to optimize productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Generate reports on maintenance performance, backlog, response times, and work completion metrics.
  • Review work requests for completeness, accuracy, and proper prioritization.
  • Coordinate outages, shutdowns, and special projects with affected stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Assist with developing standard operating procedures and work control processes.
  • Support quality assurance and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance backlog to ensure contractual performance standards are met
  • Any additional duties as assigned by Work Control Lead Sr.
  • Reports directly to the Work Control Lead Sr.


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • The Work Control Lead will be technically qualified in the field of operations and management and should have, as a minimum, one years' experience in O&M to include leading of a Work Control work force that is responsible to support a workforce for O&M & repair of all facility systems, subsystems, and selected equipment typically found in a Base Operating Services contract.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and utility infrastructure.
  • Will also have knowledge and general proficiency in GFEBS, Maximo, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other required software that is used at the job site.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to pass a company drug screen and background check. Must possess a valid state driver's license and insurable driving record.

Pay Range: $42.43 per hour
