About the Position

This position leads and performs the technical development for functional activities to maintain and enhance Kenco's Warehouse Management Systems. This position will be the technical subject matter expert for the WMS system regarding the full solution development for 3PL project lifecycle. This position will transform the business requirement documents by designing and developing technical aspects of the system. This position will support the existing client base and new client base as assigned.

Functions
  • Communicate solution capabilities/possibilities and ability to assess business needs across integration complexity and architecture constraints.
  • Provides primary user support and verifies that the system provides the required business functions and maintains data integrity
  • Leads business process analysis or design/construction phase of the project that leads to writing functional specifications
  • Formulates and defines the application scope and objectives and devise/modify procedures to solve complex business problems.
  • Develops functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports and screens that meet the customers' business objectives and are of sound design
  • Conducts system configuration for the WMS system.
  • Trains employees on system and related device usage.
  • Develop test cases and plans to complete the unit testing.
  • Provide on-call support for production applications.
  • Monitor and configure application performance and improve response times
  • Serves as a functional liaison and attends and contributes to key meetings between Product Manager, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors
  • Strong domain knowledge in the WMS solution to construct an overall architecture for current and future customer business needs
  • Advises customers regarding industry best practices and process methodology
  • Ability to estimate effort of task level implementation activities that are within the scope of the project and recommend appropriate role to execute those tasks
  • Ability to ask pertinent questions to assess business needs that fall outside the standard solution, assess integration complexity, architecture constraints
  • Demonstrates and facilitates integration discussions of product functionality and product architecture
  • Leads business process analysis or design, construction, validation, and deployment phases of a project.
  • Ensures the development and execution of test scripts to ensure WMS software consistently meets the customer's business objectives
  • Provides level 3 support during the "go-live" period


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems
  • Experience with underlying WMS technologies which could include C#, Java, HTML, Groovy, Jasper, and/or other technology
  • Communicate effectively with management, vendors, users, customers, and peers
  • Logically present issues and potential enhancements effectively
  • Working knowledge and experience with EDI including X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, or other formats
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Warehousing or Logistics Industry experience.
  • Experience with formal project management practices
  • Knowledge of formal systems development methodologies and SDLC best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Completes work independently; receives general guidance on tasks

Travel Requirements
  • This position is expected to travel approximately 25% or less.


The approximate pay range for this job is:
$115,000.00 - $172,500.00
